Photographs of scenes in the Bellport area include color slides of local views, late 1950's; pictures of houses, boats, docks and people, late 1880's to 1980's; pictures of damage caused by Hurricane Gloria in 1985; an album of railroad pictures, showing the last steam engine to run on the Long Island Rail Road, ca. 1967; and hand-tinted photos by Miss Frances H. Toms, ca. 1910. There are also about 500 color slides of gardens and flower shows and scenes from Europe, 1950's-1970's.

Jeremiah M. Dominy was the last miller at the South Haven Grist Mill, which had been in operation since at least the early 1700's. The mill closed in 1910 and was torn down in 1958.
